Sedhi Madal is our Tamil newsletter dedicated to keeping readers up-to-date on important Aurovilian events and spreading the lessons of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. After 26 years of publication, the magazine is well-established among Tamil students, scholars, locals, and Auroville partners.

Vaasal is our English newsletter designed to bridge the Tamil people and Auroville through a shared passion for the preservation of Tamil culture and knowledge. Since 2018, Vaasal has been educating English-speakers on different areas of Tamil heritage, language, and community leaders who have influenced Auroville’s growth

Ilaignarkal Education Centre has collected an expansive number of books and journals on yoga, as well as writings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother in Tamil for neo-literates in our personal library.

The Ilaignarkal Education Centre helps research and publish work on Tamil-related topics. Most of these materials are dedicated to preserving important, and often forgotten, traditional knowledge. With our Centre’s support these book can be used by both Aurovilians and native people for generations to come.

The Bullock Cart Wheel shares the innumerable uses for the wheel used on traditional transport vehicles, Palm Tree explains the importance of Tamil Nadu’s local plant, and many other titles like Sacred Places around Auroville, Sacred Cooking, and Auroville 40th Year Annual Souvenir & Bharathi 125 – One World Concept of Tamil share cultural wisdom.

Tamil poems by our own Auroville Poet Meenakshi R, has been published in the 11th grade Tamil Text book (by Govt. of TN) and reached to lakhs of children for the past 4 years both in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
